Our restaurant is located in the quaint village of Parkgate, situated between Antrim and Ballyclare and coming under Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough - Northern Irelands first Fairtrade Borough! We are situated on the modest Main Street of the village and open for breakfast and lunch 10am-3pm Wed-Sat. Wednesday evenings feature our popular Steak Night 5-9pm. Thursday features or new and exciting Tasting Menu & A La Carte, Friday - Saturday features our Earlybird menu from 5-6.30pm and A la Carte until 9pm. On Sundays we provide a sumptuous Sunday roast from 12.30pm-8.30pm and Kids Eat Free! We look forward to seeing you, Jonny, Chloé & The Holestone Team x

who are we?

“Head Chef Jonathan Clarke changes his menus weekly at his intimate restaurant in Parkgate. He took over the reins with his wife Chloe in July 2017, both with a high level of experience and a precise drive towards their goal to redeem a lost touch of great service, high quality food and most importantly - consistency! With experience under his belt from renowned restaurants across the country, working under the home grown star chef Eddie Atwell and even experience under Daniel Clifford of Midsummer House, Cambridge. His style of food is casual, gratifying the local farming community yet he is a master of flavour and loves to gear customers towards a finer flair. Local ingredients are essential, from our firm favourite local suppliers to our own foraging and garden grown produce - all help to create stunning seasonal dishes year round. Expect both traditional and exciting dishes with great value for spectacular food, local produce and a real passion for small details.”

what we do…

We strive to accommodate everyone we can - gluten free, lactose free, nut allergens, vegetarian, vegan and any other requirements by choosing our menu as carefully as possible and also having the option of adapting the menu to suit all needs under any notice. Our extensive range of ingredients and dishes are on a cook to order basis so can be changed to suit the needs or wishes of our customers. We also welcome special bookings of weddings, birthdays, celebrations, larger parties and events catered for too - both onsite and via our Outdoor Catering company with it's own Holestone Food Truck!
